Tonechimes

The tone chime is a percussion instrument that was released by SUZUKI Musical Instrument in 1985. The instrument consists of simple chimes attached to aluminum tubes, which are struck with a hammer. You play by holding one or two of these chimes and shaking them.

Tonechimes or Handchimes as they also are called, are musical instruments which are rung by hand, similar to handbells. Typically, they are tuned square tubes with an external clapper mechanism.[1] Many handbell techniques can also be applied to handchimes,[2] though some are more difficult (such as six-in-hand) or impossible (malleting).
